Job

Chapter 22

12.   Is not God in the height of heaven [the third heaven, the uttermost parts of the north¹]? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!
13.   And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge (govern) through the gloomy cloud¹ of gross darkness²?
14.   Thick dark clouds are a veil¹, covering to him (God) [a hiding place for the Prince of the power of the air from God], that he (God) seeth not; and he (God) moves² in the circuit of heaven continually [above it all].
15.   Hast thou marked the old (ancient) way, path which wicked men have trodden?
16.   Who were suddenly taken unaware¹, there was no more time given them, when the ocean was poured upon their foundation.
17.    Who said unto God, Leave us alone (depart), and what can the Almighty do to us?
18.   Yet he filled their houses with good things: but the counsel (advice, plans, schemes, strategies) of the wicked is far from me [their thinking is beyond me].
