Chapter 7
22. Until the Ancient of Days arrived¹, and authority to act as Judges² (kings) was given (entrusted) to the saints of the most High: and the (fixed, appointed) time arrived that the saints possessed (took possession of) the kingdom.
22. ¹Hebrew parallelism: saying the same thing as the second line: "And the time arrived that the saints possessed the kingdom."
² a "din," or a "court" was given to the saints of the most High and is as used in verse 10 and 26. The royal priesthood is the priestly, prophetical, and royal dignity (kings & priests). Cf. Rev. 20:4; Rev.2:27; 12:5. These are all expressing the same idea of the Heb. judge & rule as found in Mat. 19:28: "Rule" -the Message; "Govern" -International Standard Version. Rev. 20:4: And they reigned with Christ a thousand years.
